Nikon releases new travel photography series, with all round zoom lenses isolating key details that define the chaotic metropolis, Tokyo
Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 18th July 2017 – An exclusive photography series, released today, features Polish travel photographer Lukasz Palka capturing the essence of Tokyo – the world’s biggest city and the birthplace of Nikon – by cutting through the chaos to focus on the elements that make the city so special.
As Nikon celebrates its 100th anniversary this year*, the images showcase the capability of Nikon’s all round zoom and telephoto lenses to isolate specific detail amid confusion and commotion. Ideal for travel photography, the NIKKOR lenses enabled Lukasz to capture striking shots depicting moments of calm amid the chaos in Nikon’s home city. The neon-drenched nightlife, unique balance between tradition and modernity, and stunning urban scenery make Tokyo a haven for travel photographers and an apt location for the shoot.
The series’ images range from the crowds of Shibuya Crossing to the heights of Mori Tower, via Buddhist monks and the street life of Tokyo.
